Taming the Beast...

I've been working in 'The Yard'. I can only describe my hot, sweaty task as...'beating back' an entire summer's growth of flora. As with most of my endeavors, which I seldom do half-way, I foolishly work until I'm about to drop, going inside (to cold water and AC) only when I begin to feel nauseous and shaky...warning signs of heat exhaustion. I certainly know better and get told about myself by someone who cares but is diplomatic and never nags. The Back Yard is coming along...we allow the back third of the property to remain 'wild' for the creatures we share space with. For years we I tried to 'tame' it, but now I just appreciate it for being the 'life-supporting' space it is. So...here's a pano taken from our patio. The pond is on the right side of the photo.
