Spain #19, El Ibón de Acherito

Our last big walk of the trip and it was certainly worth the wait. Epic doesn't do it justice. We headed deep into the Hecho valley to park to climb up to the ibon. It was baking hot and very very steep with the first 600m taking place over about 3km but with every step there was a potential photograph which eased the pain a bit. After eating our lunch by the water we headed down a different way and it was no less dramatic with mountains, rocks, plenty of wildlife and mists beginning to appear behind us. A truly memorable day of walking. 

I even added a few extras which I don't do often.
