Dropping Water Levels……

…… Then it rained! The white areas along the stream are showing where the water has dried up and shrunk. Ruby and I had a long walk this morning. Light rain started before we reached home and persisted during the day. It was heavy this evening and there was 15 mms in the rain gauge when I checked. ( A lot for Blenheim). So I expect the river levels will have risen by morning. The white “blossom” trees on the right in this image are Tree Lucerne, aka “Tagasaste”, a nitrogen fixer. An interesting tree. I will write more about them at a later date.
