August was...

- Hot, very hot. We had our second long heatwave of the summer
- Very early morning walks
- Morning escapades all along the lake
- Boat rides and little cruises (as many as possible)
- Iced drinks
- Fans and ventilators whirring, even at night
- The company of my sweet Honey every single day 

I've made a collage because it's what represents the month of August the most for me, obviously the photos were not taken today, except for Honey right in the middle as she was enjoying a snooze after her breakfast!

All the other photos were taken along the lake in different place. If you're wondering about the photo in the middle at the top, it's the turning paddles on one of my steam/paddleboat outings!

The weather has cooled considerably this last week, around 20-24 degrees, and that has felt wonderful - as has the refreshing rain. We are starting to get the beautiful lighting that we always get in September. There will be many lovely outings to come. My morning outings have been wonderful and so uplifting, I intend to do them as long as the weather permits.
