Bank holiday

Another lovely day today. I made and wrote some thank you cards for various people who had given us wedding gifts, then we went out to meet my old University friend, Kirstie, at Waterloo. She was down visiting various friends for the weekend, and we met her for lunch before she had to catch her train back home to Lancashire. I haven't seen her for 14 years (!!), but it honestly felt like it'd only been a few months.

We had a lovely lunch at a funky new Wahaca (the restaurant is made from eight shipping containers) on the Southbank, and had a good old catch-up. The only thing was that we were chatting so much that I really didn't get a chance to take any photos - so had to fall back on my old favourite, the Japanese Maple tree outside our window, this evening :)
