Well, that’s something new

A new first today, a visit to the first-ever open day at our local crematorium.
We’ve attended many funerals there over the years, but Mr. Beewatcher was reluctant to go on the tour, saying that I could go on my own because he thought he’d find it too poignant.
After a little persuasion he joined it though, and was glad he did.
After a quick look at the two beautiful chapels it was on to the practical area, where a very nice chap showed us where the actual cremations take place, explained every detail of the process, and answered lots of questions. It was all done in the most caring and respectful manner.
Afterwards we had a short walk in the extensive, beautifully kept grounds, where I took the extra photos.
But I won’t ever be travelling in the new hearse !
