Glittering Day

A trip to Surrey to meet friends for lunch in order to collect some clothes I left in an Air B&B in France in July. Long story...

Jan and Alex kindly brought them back to the UK and we made the handover an opportunity for lunch. They generously took me to an Italian restaurant for a tasty lunch.

Then a return trip through lanes and byways to the familiarity of north of the river. Getting home just in time to go to a gathering of neighbours at Jono and Catherine's next door. 

I'm lucky that all the local neighbours get on and keep an eye out for each other. We all admired J & C's smart garden and their back room which they have converted into a ballroom complete with glitter ball. Here is Catherine conducting the conversation as the rain poured down outside.
