Amarena Plums
In one of the recent thunderstorms the fully loaded plumtree I blipped a month ago lost one of its branches and for the first time ever I got a half a bucket full of plums; didn't even have to pick them myself.
So what to do with them? Plum cake? Plum jam? Eat them? Freeze them for porridge in winter?
No, I cooked Amarena Plums. 11 small jars.
Best over vanilla ice cream. Unfortunately no ice cream at home...
Ingredients: Plums, sugar, a hint of cinnamon (and I like to add ginger). Cook 15 minutes (plums still chunky). Add Amaretto and boil up again. Fill in jars.
Tons of calories, I'm afraid. But tastes heavenly. Soon.....
PS. I kept 10 empty "Glück made of.. " jam jars. Came handy today.
