Acleris cristana

Another new moth for me! the beautiful and distinctive Acleris cristana.  This unusual and scarce species has a distinctive and unusual raised patch of scales or 'scale-tuft' in the
he centre of the forewing. It is usually found in heavily wooded areas. which makes it's appearance in my garden rather odd.
