Brighton Rocks!

Our first bank holiday in Brighton, and the weather has been fantastic - sunny and 25 degrees!

We were up quite early and took Louis for a walk across the fields before heading into Brighton for lunch at Jamie's Italian. I've got a 'Gold' membership card which entitles us to certain offers, and today we had an appetiser of Mint, Ricotta and Parmesan Aranchini with a spicy arrabiatta sauce and a free large glass of rose wine each - needless to say, we had a great time!

Then after lunch Scott and Rachel drove home with Scarlett, and Alan & I decided to walk back along the beach. Brighton was absolutely buzzing - there were so many people on the beach and in the sea. As we walked down Madeira Drive we saw lots of Vespa's and Lamberetta's parked up outside a cafe. As you can see there were so many classic bikes, and there was a great holiday atmosphere. We stopped and had a look at them and then carried on with our walk. We stopped for an ice cream near the Marina and then finally met up with Rachel, Scott and Scarlett at our local beach in Saltdean. Before we joined them, Scott had taken a gorgeous photo of Scarlett which you can see here.

All in all we walked nearly 6 miles and that's not including this morning's walk! So we're now relaxing with our feet up - I think it'll be an early night tonight!
