Theatre Spirit

Since working as stage crew on numerous amateur stage productions when I was younger, I’ve always been fascinated in how theatres operate. This morning I went on a backstage tour of the Norwich Theatre Royal, I was in my element!
One unexpected fact I came away with was that when there isn’t enough  time inbetween performances to launder costumes, they spray them with vodka, it kills the odours apparently.
Understandably, photography was prohibited backstage (although there was a lot too see), but we were allowed to photograph the auditorium from the stage.
