Life's Little Moments

Voila!

None of the hummingbirds have left yet although their desire to load up on nectar is at a peak.  Soon, very soon, they will start leaving.  And in the meantime, I am enjoying them.  This is a hatch-year male on some anise hyssop which they've all ignored until just recently.

I caught up with my niece this morning - it's been too long since we've talked and it was so good to hear her voice.  We ended up on the phone for almost 2 hours.

Hubs and I decided to go out for lunch today which was very enjoyable although we both ate too much.  Think we will skip dinner tonight or just have a little snack.

The milkweed patches in the garden are getting really scant now but I think it will last long enough for the caterpillars that are on it (as well as the ones in my nursery)  to get nice and fat.  I did see a couple of very small cats in the garden as well as some eggs - not sure how that will all turn out, but it's up to nature at this point.

Hubs and I started watching The Empress on Netflix this week.  I'm enjoying it and Hubs is kind of neutral on it.  The acting is very good and the cinematography is great so it's enjoyable to watch.

Heading into a 3-day weekend!

xoxo
