Friday: Transport

We had a very pleasant visit from LOH this morning who popped round with cakes. It was lovely to catch up.  

Prior to that someone did us a very good turn.  A friend had sent me a birthday present which, although tracked, just disappeared into the ether.  It was shown as delivered but I never received it.  

Anyway, this morning there was a knock on the door. I opened the door to find a woman clutching said parcel.  She lived three miles away and came back from holiday a couple of days ago to find my parcel at her house.  The only thing the address had in common was the house number.  I was really touched that she drove over here especially to deliver it.

As for my blip, I mentioned recently that people leave things outside that they are looking to get rid of.  Someone has left this.  I think I might claim it as it would be very handy for getting me round the neighbourhood.

Much amusement this evening with Neighbour A.  We found her hanging outside her window trying to get some relief as she seems to have inadvertently produced homemade tear gas in her kitchen.  She has been boiling up habaneros to try and deter foxes.  Turns out that’s how you make pepper spray…….
