Primrose variation

Out this afternoon looking for Early Purple Orchids, I noticed the Primroses growing beside the road showed a lot of variation in flower colour and shape.
here are just 3 of the different types I found, the one on the left has long petals and is very pale in colour, the one in the middle is the typical form and the one on the right has broad frilly edged petals......fascinating
