Today’s story
It’s been a fun and enjoyable day, hopefully, as shown in today’s blip.
The top part represents my zoom audition for the 1% club which took place this morning. There were 10 of us and we had to give a brief introduction before answering 10 quiz questions. Seemed to go well, and it was a lot of fun, even if I don’t get chosen to go on the show.
The ironic thing about this is that it was Martin’s idea and he had to encourage me to do it, yet, he hasn’t been called for the zoom audition. Boo … even if I get a callback, I don’t think I would it, as it’s not fair he got ignored.
After that, as Martin had a day off, we went for lunch to the local Craig House, Brewers Fayre, which was very nice.
Sitting on the table near us, were three lovely ladies with their carer, from the local Carberry Care Home who have lunch out there every fortnight. They were having a lovely time and I should point out that the eldest of them was 97 years old!
On the way back home, we pulled into the Strawberry Corner garden centre and got a couple of autumn/winter planters to give some colour over the next few months to the front door. As you can see, there were some lovely brambles by the garden centre car park. I had a couple and they tasted delicious.
Fitting into our earlier lunch and the ladies that lunch, we then watched ‘The Thursday Murder Club’. The Netflix film with Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, Celia Imrie et al, was lovely afternoon viewing.
Now watching The Chase.
I hope you have had a good day.
