rimfire
which is the name of the plant, btw, one of the new babies i got at gardening scotland a wee while ago. it was intended to replace last year's stunner, but the weather hasn't been kind and it's taken a while to get going (meanwhile, the old one, all dead and dried up, has come back to life on the compost heap, growing up from the roots. i stuck it in a pot, hope it grows!).
pootled and chores this morning, then an hour or so in the garden this afternoon with the secateurs and saw again - i'm finding it very therapeutic, i only wished i hadn't had to go to work, i could've tackled the laurel outside the back door instead. which would have been far more satisfying than being in the office, which was every which kind of irritation and tedium.
