Logging

The chimney sweep arrived early this morning to sweep the flue of our woodburning stove. It will probably be another 6 weeks or so before we feel the need for a fire, but the wood shed is full of fuel. I have almost finished transporting the split logs from the huge oak tree which fell a few months ago.

Some of the logs at the bottom of the pile have fungus growing on them and I noticed on this one that it looked like a tree.

When the sweep had finished, we went into town for aqua/ sauna. The rain seems to have stopped so I am now off for a walk and to pick some brambles for our tea.
