Garden Gate

We visited Gregg and Linda, Eric’s brother and sister-in-law, this afternoon. They live in a big, very old house out in the middle of the Willamette valley. I really like going there - being there; the house (circa 1850) was once a stop along a stagecoach route, and is filled with antiques. I could easily live there, but would have to get good at grocery shopping to avoid driving so far into town (Turner).
We picked plums in the orchard, had lunch, and a good visit. Then we drove all the way home, fifty-some miles, avoiding the freeway, and arrived rested and happy.
