Fleabane

This plant was dried and burnt to drive away fleas. In the 17th century the herbalist Nicholas Culpeper had nothing good to say about the plant and described it as ill-looking weed with small, very poor flowers of dirty yellow. The Romans held the plant in high esteem and used them to make wreath.
