Le pont transbordeur

we walked along the river up to this unusual bridge. It has a 'gondola' that moves along the bridge from one side to the other and is the only remaining bridge of this type in France.  When first constructed it took vehicles but now its just for bikes and pedestrians. We had a ride on it but the lovely looking restaurant on the other side was full (despite actually being completely empty!) so returned for lunch. Later we explored the town and sat in the main square for icecream.  I had a good view from the table so tried to take my own version of todays 'desmoiselles de Rochefort' (see extra).
