August Challenge: Day 26 .....

Hope.

As in my hopes of photographing a hummingbird have finally been realized!

I know that this is not the best hummingbird picture I've seen on blipfoto, but it's my first one ever!  And with the overcast skies the lighting was not the greatest.  But I am still pleased with it.  And hope that I can get a better shot some other day.

This is the first hummingbird that I have actually seen in our yard in a few years.  Not sure where they have been, but it hasn't been here!  Since we don't get a lot of hummingbirds in our yard, I am not sure what kind this is. If anyone can help me identify him/her I would greatly appreciate it!

Note:  I have since come to learn that this is a female Ruby-throated Hummingbird!
