Great falls?

This is a view of an area called Great Falls on the Potomac river, taken from the Maryland shore looking at the Virginia shore across the water. Washington DC is just a 10 min car ride down.

Unfortunately, owing to a near drought in the area, the mighty Potomac has been reduced to what you see here. Normally the water (and its falls) would stretch all the way across the rocks.
