On Reflection
Betty's Tearoom in Northallerton is housed in a Grade II listed Georgian building and was the 4th of the brand to be opened back in 1971, the original being in Harrogate which opened in 1919. These 'Gooey Rascals' are trademarked as Fat Rascals, Betty's signature since the 1980's and now sell over a thousand a day.
In the reflection across the road is The Golden Lion, an old coaching inn dating back to the early 18th Century. Famous guests include John Wesley, Czar Nicholas 1 of Russia, Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Andrew Carnegie. During WW2 it was popular with RAF aircrews and featured in the 1945 film 'The Way to the Stars'. It is also a Grade II listed building.
This will be my entry to this week's 52Frame theme of 'Reflection' unless the rain gives me other options over the next few days.
