Sleeping beauties!

We were sent this gorgeous photo today! The girls had spent another day fishing in rock pools and building sand castles. J & A had hired bikes and this was the ride home for E & T at the end of a wonderful day.

It’s been another quiet day here and I haven’t tried to fill it. Just one appointment this morning. The last weeks with our visitors have been full and really good, other things set aside for the weeks of their visit. The calendar this week has had empty spaces. It’s felt odd, just pootling, sorting, reading … and quiet. I think it’s been right.

We’ve just had a call from our friends, now waiting to board their flight back to Dubai. They’ve done SO much to their UK home and it’s sad they now have to say goodbye to it, not knowing when their next visit will be.

We had two short and sweet rain showers today! D put out buckets to collect any surplus water that didn’t get into the water butts.
