Blitz.
We left Manchester this morning to drive to Scotland.
We stopped off to see Dad and then headed to the new Clydebank Museum. It has only just opened and really has been done so well. It was so interesting to see items that I’ve never seen before or even heard of.
Description of the objects:
1 Blitz Damaged Books on
National Socialism in Germany from Clydebank Library
This library building took a direct hit during the Clydebank Blitz of March 1941 when some 11,000 books were destroyed. Ironically, these two books, studded with shrapnel, are about Hitler and the National Socialist Party.
It was really lovely to see Blip’s ClydebankMan on the big screen! https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3403054173330081909
