If it's Thursday ....

..... it must be sketching group.  I thought I would try something new this week - sketching people instead of landscapes which I have focusing on until now.  I took as a starting point a picture of one of our painting by Helen Tabor, whose work I really like. I soon found out that what looks simple is actually rather challenging to draw.  I share my fourth attempt in which I have started to put my own spin. The next stage is do a needle-felted version of.  As always it was lovely to be doing the sketching in the company of others. Needless to say this also led to much chatting. A good morning. 

Today also saw the opening The Seal Woman at the theatre. T is part of the community choir but sadly the performance had to be curtailed due to the heavy rain. Fingers crossed for better weather tomorrow.
