Broken Cross

Busy day, not much time to consider photos. End of year accounts, tennis tournaments, after school basketball games, swimming lessons, orthopedic follow ups- rugby injury, tutoring and homework and meals to cook up. A household full of boys makes for lots of action, food requirements and lots of varied activities!
In the end this caught my eye in the sunlight. It is actually broken in half- boy damage of course. Today, I liked the reflection more than the light in the cross itself. The lensbaby is ideal for showing this. I love the simplicity of it sitting on the wooden table, no distractions or erroneous information- it is, what it is.

The spriritual significance of a broken cross that can still provide beauty and light has also got me thinking today. Some things should not be thrown away!
