My Daily Life in Photo's.

Ye Olde Red Lion

First of all I took Juno to the Park for a walk & on my return I settled her in before heading off on the Bus again to Cheam.
On Tuesday I was going to buy some Tourist type things, but no one was there to sell them to me, but they're back today. :)
Off the Bus & straight to the Whitehall House to get my goodies; sadly they didn't have a Fridge Magnet of the House & only a small one of Cheam, so I got that & 3 Postcards, but once again non of the Whitehall house, but the lady told me about the Red Lion Pub where there is an old Well, so got a Postcard of that & went to see the Well & Pub.
Ye Olde Red Lion has stood on this site for at least 400 years, changing very little externally.  This is a quaint 'country-style' pub with an attractive low-beamed ceiling. Just watch your head if you're over 6 ft tall!

Ye Olde Red Lion is thought to be the oldest public house in the Borough of Sutton. The well at the front is genuine and was used as recently as 1930.
After seeing the Well, I walked over to look around a quaint Wool & Craft Shop & into the Greengrocers to get a few bits & he recommended the French Bakery up the road for Sourdough Bread....... O yes please!! I treated myself to the tastiest Sourdough Loaf to bring back for Lunch, then on the Bus back to New Malden & a slice of that Bread. YUM!
