Home grown sunflower!
We’ve not long been back at home and it’s almost 16h00.
I had a haircut this morning whilst Stephen went to the gym.
Then followed lunch with a couple we know, which we have all been trying to arrange since last October!
A good 2 and a half hours catching up, at Chase Farm!
There have been a couple of downpours this afternoon, but they soon move off.
You can probably see the raindrops on the window pane in the photo and spot, maybe, another flowering Yucca spike.
One of the three very tall sunflowers broke off the other day in the wind, so I went out and cut this one to bring indoors as well.
There are two left outside.
I’m going to make a cuppa now and read my French novel. I finished “Still Life” by Sarah Winman, the other day.
I keep thinking it’s Friday!
Weekend looms.
Last one before the schools opposite return this coming week..
We keep wondering where all the staff are going to park, given half their spaces are cordoned off with metal fencing due to the builders who are beginning to fix the roofs of the two (joined) school buildings.
All the staff at the Special School will be coming back to 6 temporary classrooms, parked at the back of the school the other side of the playground.
I don’t envy them.
