The Nelsons

Halloween?

Today we finally went out for a little trip on the bus, over to Mennecy. There is a small shopping centre over there, with an Intermarché Hyper and a few other places.
It is convenient to have the bus terminus at the top of our street, but buses are only once an hour. So once we've got to Mennecy, we need to think about what bus we're going to get to come back, so we don't have to wait around.
It made a change to be just me and the kids going shopping, I don't do that nearly often enough. First stop was Action, where the kids bought a few knick-knacks using their own pocket money. These days they both have cards and a banking app on their phones. It is good in that it teaches them financial responsibility.
In Action they've already got the Halloween decorations on sale(!)

Then we headed to a discount clothes shop next door. Rémy bought himself a pair of trainers for 20 euros.

It was time for lunch, so we walked the short distance to Burger King. Rémy has a BK app on his phone and so being Wednesday, there are plenty of special offers. So I left him to order everything, which resulted in getting a few free things.

After filling our faces, we took ourselves off to Intermarché as Emma wanted to buy some hot chocolate and ended up buying a Lego sunflower kit too. It was mine and Mme MB's wedding anniversary, so I was trying to find a small thing for her. I ended up getting a Lego kit of two red roses. Thinking that she could have them on her desk at work.
She had other ideas and bought us a big present. We'll be going to see Blossoms in concert next February. They're going to play in Montmartre.
