Spangles & Silk Buttons...

I've done a blip before about spangles - caused by tiny gall wasps of the genus 'Neuroterus.' I haven't blipped silk buttons though (on the right, spangles on the left).

I googled it all and it's quite interesting - the spangles are produced se*ually and the silk buttons a produced ase*ually. Both of these galls are harmless to the oak tree.

We had 10 mins of rain this afternoon and that appears to be all we are getting.

Food - used the old veggies to make a spicy veg & bean stew thing, it tastes good with a bit of couscous. Maybe a topping for home-made pizza tomorrow.

Aldi social media is so funny & very witty/clever. The Co-op seems to have joined in with a similar style...
