Face Off
The green veined white didn't stay put to be inspected any further by the common carder bee, but decided that it was high time it was somewhere else.
In some ways today's shot is very like yesterday's portrait of Nina. In both cases the captured moment was fleeting and only possible to record because I was choosing to shoot at multiple frames per second. Had I been opting for a single shot I'd almost certainly have missed both. I was also very lucky today that the bee approached the butterfly in the same plane of focus as I didn't have much depth of field to play with.
