Hens in dappled shade.

So these are my four hens, which keeps us in eggs, just! They just love the sunny afternoons when they can mooch about the little orchard, pecking at the fallen apples from the old apple tree. We should really take down this tree, and will have to in the near future, but it is an old variety which ripens before so many others which is rather nice. The apples are so crisp and very sweet as well. Only downside is that the wasps also love them!!
