A Most Extraordinary Last Class

My students took their final plant ID test today. I have them correct the tests in the classroom, then I take them home and grade them. They seemed pleased overall, although I haven’t actually looked at them yet. What a marvelous group!

They seemed to be hanging around after the class was over, so I was puttering around, picking up and putting away stuff. Then they gathered in a circle around me and handed me the above card. I was so moved that I started crying, which they seemed to find amusing :-) I was so moved! Then we went outside and took a group photo. Truly the best class I’ve ever taught. All of the ducks just lined up in a row. Fabulous!
