Took the accumulated mail to the pool to sort through. Thankfully nothing of note, mainly catalogs, magazines, political fliers (gerrymander stuff) and a couple of packages I'd sent back to myself.
Blacked out at 7 p.m. last night, slept on and off until 4:30 a.m. Woke at one point in the night needing to pee, I was so confused about where I was - which hotel or airbnb room was in? Was I still in the UK or had I made it home? I could not find a door, so terribly confused I had to feel my way back around the room, find my phone and the flashlight on it... Ah, ok, now I know where I am. Comical really.
Somewhat related to this, T and I had discussed in the various rooms we stayed in (and this has come up before here too) the need for a travel kit to manage pesky light. Everywhere we stay we have to MacGyver stuff before optimal sleep can occur. In the room in Leeds I tore up a box of M&S cookies and created a light occlusion along with bandaids (thanks to T having cut himself earlier in the trip) adhering it to the wall around the thermostat that was shining like a bright moon. We also used another bandaid and one of my earplugs to block the bright red light of the TV. I think there's a market out there for this.

While I was away there was some movement on perhaps dealing with the deferred pool maintenance. Keep my fingers crossed at the next board meeting.
