Wednesday...
...began just after 4am when Peggy-Sue first woke Youngest, before jumping on the bed where I was sleeping soundly, dropping a tennis ball and strutting around waiting for me to throw it for her.
We couldn't sleep afterwards. At 5:30 I ran Youngest back home so she could settle in her own bed. Back at parents house for breakfast (porridge), sleep soon came on their comfy settee. Waking at 10:30, Peg was spotted on the adjacent armchair, dead to the world and less keen to fetch her tennis ball. (Collage left)
After lunch I took her & Shadow to Etherow Park. She wasn't too keen there either, being dragged around the first half of the walk whilst my little ratter with her poorly leg was hopping along in front, eager to go! Peg was more energetic on the walk back to the car but as the sun was now out, we sat for half an hour watching the model.boats. (Collage top right - whilst watching the boats, a Mayfly took a breather on my knee!)
Parents were back home by teatime (Yay!) and after some salmon & stir fry veg, Biscuit took me out for some fresh air. There was a great view from the top of Monks Road above Charlesworth. Fiddlers Ferry Power Station was clearly visible, as were the hills on the edge of Wales beyond. (Collage bottom right - sunset over Manchester)
