Crocosmia anthotype
A busy day with an optician appointment this morning, supervised gym session at lunchtime (clarified a couple of things, including that the reason I was struggling to adjust the seat on one of the machines was that it was broken!).
Then a 121 session with a new participant in Caregiving photography project. We met for a cuppa and a chat at the cafe in Salford Museum and Art Gallery. I popped upstairs after and enjoyed a couple of exhibitions. Particularly Naomi Kendrick’s sculptural drawing on dried gunnera leaves and Liam Spencer’s exploration of the river Irwell and the wildlife that has returned as the industrial pollution has reduced.
Then I had a look at this anthotype image of a crocosmia flower using a crocosmia petal emulsion that has been exposing on the shelf in the greenhouse for the last 3 weeks. I had tried adding a piece of felt underneath the paper in the frame, and from the crispness of this image I think it’s helped keep everything firmly in place.
