At Newborough
We knew there would be morning showers, but fortunately the weather forecast was accurate and the sun was back by midday.
So we made an afternoon trip to Newborough, a favourite place for us all.
The wind was strong and the waves were wild, along the vast expanse of beach. In fact we spent quite a bit of time in the woods next to the beach, where the older kids got engrossed in exploring and inventing imaginary worlds together.
The strong wind and sun were all a bit much for Simone and her friend Miriam, who's also two years old. So we didn't attempt the long walk out to Ynys Llanddwyn. But there was plenty to enjoy in a quiet spot on the beach, finding shelter next to the dunes. In the extra, Jack gives Simone a cuddle under the trees.
