A RANT about rubbish!!!

Here I am sitting next to all the 'private rubbish bins' that live in our communal courtyard. Even though people who own a 'second home' in Cornwall have to pay double council tax, they are still not allowed to use council bins if they let their homes out to holiday makers.

Anyone in Cornwall who lets their house out and makes money from it................. all be it, only a week, or a month or a year................. they're not allowed to use the Council bins. They have to employ private rubbish collectors to get rid of their rubbish.

Private rubbish collectors charge at least £4.50 per bag and holiday makers produce a lot of rubbish. Holiday makers don't cook. They eat Pizza's and other take away food. Holidaymakers don't read the 'rules' about where to dispose of their rubbish.

They feel 'entitled'. They don't care …........ 'we've paid a lot of money for this apartment so we can do what we want to do. Wet the bed............... all the beds. And trash the place???!!!'

….......................Its just unbelievable what some people think is acceptable??!!

The 'Bank Holiday Weekend' is over. Traditionally it's the worst weekend of the year for cleaners in Cornwall

Hopefully things will get back to normal now!!
