Raspberry Macaron Day

We celebrated our recent wedding anniversary with lunch at Betty's at Harlow Carr today, which was very pleasant.  After lunch we toured the gardens and took part in the 'Thursday Murder Club' Hunt.  Gardener Jeff had been murdered and it was our job to solve the clues and identify the suspect.  It added extra interest to our walk and we were fortunate to get back to the main building just as the promised heavy rain arrived.  We picked up some shopping whilst the worst of the rain came down.  I stocked up on greetings cards then we were back to the car and on towards Otley and stops at the Blue Barn for bird food; the Garden Centre for bamboo canes and Waitrose for some groceries before home.

Back home I popped to see elderly neighbour M before cleaning the kitchen and that's been pretty much everything for today.
