They usually appear when I only have my compact camera with me, and today was no exception. Still, it was good to see their return after a spring and summer absence.

I visited a large High St. shop today. On one of the entrances, the 'pull' and 'push' plates had been screwed onto the wrong pair of doors, causing much puzzlement. Presumably the workman didn't know his left from his right hand, nor if he was coming or going.
