Vroom with a view!

Mr A has a new toy......a helmet camera! He's messed about with it most of the weekend, fitting it to various points of the helmet.
The left side is out as that's where the Bluetooth control panel is. On the top made him look like Po from Teletubbies. So by default it's now on the right, which is my preferred viewpoint from pillion, so I can see chuff all now!

We tried it out yesterday, albeit briefly, and its actually not bad. What we did notice was that when other drivers spotted the camera, they slowed down and drove much more sensibly (as they should do!).

The footage is really clear and it can record up to 8 hours on the sd card, though the battery life is only around 2.5 hours I think? I don't know much about cameras (that is Mr A's job after all!!!) but the focus is constant and even though it was quite sunny, the brightness adjusted well to adapt for this.

Mr A has always used his bike for seasonal commuting, but having met me, he is now spending much more time on 2 wheels. The amount of idiots we encounter each time we are out is phenomenal, and sad but true, it's only a matter of time before an accident happens.

The thinking behind the camera is to record every journey just in case.

Fingers crossed the footage is never necessary.
