Gently down the stream

Colebrook Street

I've always thought of 'orderly' as a bit of a weasel word, but if we take it to mean 'neat, tidy, methodical and well-arranged' I think this row of buildings just off Winchester's main drag, in Colebrook Street, do fit the bill, with their gables, sash windows and use of brick and flint.  It also seems always to be looking neat, with few people walking on the narrow pavements and no litter to speak of.  So with thanks to BobsBlips for hosting, this is my entry for today's WidWed.

My plan today had been to continue yesterday's butterfly hunt, but it rained a reasonable amount in the night, and again today we had great swashes blowing over, so I was grateful to be in town and able to shelter in shops and doorways when the wet blasted across.  And although I did water my new lavender plants this morning, I don't think there will be any need to water anything tonight - hooray!

Have a good evening, lovely folks  xx
