Rame Head

A day in Cornwall, starting off in Looe (extra). We've recently watched a TV series set there, and decided to see what it's really like. Amusement arcades, dozens of people crabbing, and lots of bakeries selling Cornish pasties - not nearly as tranquil as portrayed in the series, but that's not surprising. We had a pleasant walk round, and enjoyed a Cornish cream tea - it just had to be done!

Next stop was Rame Head, which Angus had mentioned. We walked up to the Chapel of St Michael, from where there were fabulous views of the coastline (extra). On the way back to the van, an adder slithered across the path, the first we've seen his year.

From Rame we headed to Kingsand, where we walked through the town and had a lovely meal - paella - at a pub recommended by one of Mark's work colleagues (thanks Rachael!).

Finally, back into Devon to the campsite. On the way MrM stopped the van for a photo of the setting sun. Several other motorists had done the same, as the sun was a bright red orb in a hazy sky (extra)
