Anchor Removed

Trip to Glasgow today for a meeting about some potential future work - which was useful and interesting.

A few quick jobs at the boat this evening.

After drawing out a diagram and puzzling over it for some time I developed a theory for what must be happening with one malfunctioning system.  Today I went straight to the suspect part and sure enough the vent was completely blocked, and the back pressure had forced the hose loose on the inside.  I removed the vent, cleaned it thoroughly, cut back the damaged hose (fortunately long enough), reattached it, and the problem was gone.  Phew.

I also removed the anchor from it's usual place on the bow so I could take the chain of the windlass, which needs some TLC.  I got the anchor back inboard and into a locker out the way, and wrapped the chain in some old tarpaulin so it doesn't damage the topsides or deck while it's sitting there.  Hopefully the engineer will be able to look at the windlass this week.

Those were the two main reasons for going so mission accomplished, and I also managed a couple of other trivial jobs.
