Fascinating cloudscape this morning
Many of you will know I love clouds and cloudscapes. I ought to be a member of the Cloud Appreciation Society. This morning’s clouds were portending a change as they looked fractious and disheveled with curious inverted cone like clouds in the distance.
The weather did change during the morning. On our way to Waltham Abbey to see friends we were caught in short dousing of fine misty rain.
That’s not all we were caught in. The M25 was a pig again today. The one hour journey took 1hr 50 minutes and at one time said over 2 hours to travel the 3 miles to our exit at J26. Chat GPT said it was due to an accidents and a lorry fire leading to jams all around.
The SatNav couldn’t cope with the circumstances, the journey time went up and down like a yo-yo and the route suggested on my phone was different to that on Susan’s phone. Then, just as despair was about to set in the jam we were in began to move….
The journey back made up for this morning, just in the hour, door to door.
In the end we had a lovely day with our friends who were keen to learn about our place in Cockermouth. We can’t wait to get back up there. A survey is booked for next Monday. Having completed all the checks and provided all the required information the house has been taken off the market.
