An ordinary life....

Slate no 2...

I finished Faith's slate a few days ago but this is the first chance I've had to blip it.

I wanted Anna and Faith's slates to be different designs but I've probably inadvertently caused a problem, because one of them will no doubt prefer the other's!  Hey ho!  I have plenty of slates so if that's the case, I can paint another one :D

I was up and in the pool for 8am.  First time in ages.  I've really missed doing my hydro exercises.  I am determined to be more organised and when we get back from Harris and Lewis, I will aim to get back in the pool three times a week. I know, I'm like a broken record!

After lunch D headed off to play golf with Adrian and I headed back to the studio to continue painting S & L's slate (a blip for another day :-) Theirs has given me a real headache and it's my own fault for leaving it to the last minute! and having to rush.  Hell mend me!

It is now complete and has had its first coat of protective varnish but I am not happy with it.  I mean it's ok and I hope am sure they will love it, but I have no sense of satisfaction when I look at it.  I am hoping that will change over the next couple of days.

And because of the slate I am behind with my packing!  That said, I have packed my painting kit, camera kit and crochet, so the important stuff is done :-)  Will get the case packed tomorrow.

D at singing rehearsal tonight so trying to get my Tesco order done (delivery a day early so I can pack some food essentials to get us started) before he gets back and we settle down to watch the third episode of Mix Tape.  I read the book ages ago and loved it.  So far the series is exactly how I imagined it, which rarely happens.

I noted it was dark at 9pm this evening.  Not long now till there's a change in the scent of the air.
