Two fabulous new murals in Newmilns.

Frank Carty and Mandy Carty: are a husband and wife team based in Newmilns.
They run the business Artisan Artworks, which specializes in hand-painted murals and signs.
Frank is a recognized mural artist who learned his craft from his father and has worked on projects across Europe.

The murals were commissioned as part of the Newmilns Regeneration Association's efforts to highlight the town's heritage.
They celebrate the rich history of lace-making in Newmilns, from the arrival of Flemish weavers to the prominence of the lace industry in Britain.
The designs feature intricate details inspired by real historical photographs and local history, including a mural of a hand darning lace.
