Pyracantha

Another hot day. I stayed at home all day.

I can’t remember the last time we had any significant rainfall. The front lawn has turned brown, and even the weeds have shrivelled. The hydrangeas have struggled this year, and the bowling green surface is like concrete. Leaves on the trees are already turning and starting to fall.

The purple lavender has now faded, and the garden is taking on a reddish hue, with good shows of berries on the cotoneaster and pyracantha.

 Some rain is forecast for Monday night into Tuesday morning.
