Owl sanctuary

Intended to have a lazy day but the weather was beautiful and South Wales seemed to be saying ‘come out and appreciate me.’

We visited an owl sanctuary well off the beaten track in Ebbw Vale. So many owls of different varieties, rescued (would be interesting to know their individual stories) and unable to be released back into the wild. This beauty was snuggled up to their handler, but obliged my request for a photo! Those eyes!

Had a journals catch up tonight, but my (less impressive) eyes are heavy so a little light on comments. Hope those of you in the UK have enjoyed the extra long weekend.
